The environment is important to us, which is why we treat nature very responsibly. We obtain our wood in accordance with the EU timber regulation (EUTR) locally or from verified suppliers. Depending on availability, we only use wood that is PEFC-certified. The wood chips for our wood briquettes are a constant by-product of the manufacturing of our garden wood products. Water is removed from the wood during the subsequent drying process. The residual moisture content is less dan 10%. As a result, the briquettes achieve a high heating value of about 4.7 to 4.9 kWh/kg. They burn slower and more controlled than logs and produce significantly less ash.
Our RUF briquettes are high-quality wood briquettes made from softwood, which are produced from by-products of our own sawmill. For this we use only branded presses from the German Company RUF.
For wood briquettes, dry wood chips and scrap wood are processed and then compressed under high pressure. Due to the lignin content in the wood, the wood chips bind together to form what is known as a briquette. Dimplex-quality wood briquettes consist of pure wood, generally pine, without any additives. This protects the environment and ensures complete CO2-neutral heating. Wood only emits as much CO² as it absorbed while growing. Not a single tree is cut down for our briquettes! We make our products exclusively from wood chips, sawdust, and scrap wood.
Burning may only take place in suitable and approved fireplaces (see manual of the fireplace).
The packaging must not be burned. Store wood briquettes in a dry and airy place. Fill your stove or fireplace only according to the system. Never overfill the stove. Ensure adequate air circulation. Do not light the fire with flammable liquids such as alcohol, spirit, or gasoline.
Since we only use by-products form our own sawmill to manufacture the pellets, we can offer very sustainably produced pellets for which no additional trees were cut down. The pellets with the certification are an environmentally friendly fuel resourced from sustainable forestry.
For wood pellets, dry wood chips and scrap wood are processed and then compressed under high pressure. Due to the lignin content in the wood and a little industrial powder the material binds without further additives. The pellets are generally made of pine wood and have a diameter of 6 mm. Heating with pellets protects the environment and is completely CO2-neutral heating. Wood only emits as much CO² as it absorbed while growing. Not a single tree is cut down for our pellets! We make our products exclusively from wood chips, sawdust, and scrap wood.
